If you’re staying with us in beautiful St Ives this June, you’re in for a treat! The annual St Ives Biathlon is back — and it’s one of the most exciting (and scenic!) events in town.
Organised by the fantastic team at St Ives Surf Life Saving Club and proudly sponsored by Cornish Riviera Holidays, this much-loved event brings together locals, visitors, seasoned athletes and enthusiastic beginners for an unforgettable evening of coastal adventure.
The race kicks off from the harbour slipway in St Ives at 5.oopm before heading out along the stunning coast path towards Carbis Bay Beach. Expect breathtaking sea views (if you can spare the breath!) as you run along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Cornwall.
Once you reach the beach, it’s straight into the water for the swim back — a truly unique way to experience the bay.
If you are not quite feeling biathlon-ready? Don’t worry! There are novice and children’s routes available too, making it a brilliant event for families and those wanting to give it a go in a more relaxed way.
Whether you’re competing, cheering from the shoreline, or simply soaking up the lively harbour atmosphere, it’s always a fantastic community event.
