St. Ives Kite Festival 2026

One of St Ives’ most charming traditions is back. Flight Day draws a wonderful crowd of kite enthusiasts every year, and even if you’re not taking part, watching dozens of colourful kites dancing across the sky is a spectacle in itself. It’s a joyful celebration of local history, creativity, and community spirit.

This year’s event takes place on Saturday 29th March, from 1pm to 3pm, on St Ives Island. Everyone is invited to join in—wrap up warm, bring along a kite if you have one, or simply wander up to enjoy the vibrant display as the sky fills with colour and movement.
