General Information

We endeavour to make all rooms available for new arrivals as soon as possible. Guests arriving early by road or train can at least leave their luggage at Cornerways if their room is not quite ready.  Late arrivals in the evening are very welcome.

Smoking

Just a gentle reminder that we are a non-smoking house.  We have our “staff table” at the side of the house that you are welcome to use if you want to smoke.

Payment

We regret that we do not accept credit cards.  We accept cheques made payable to T. Tait or bank transfer - details available on request.

Rooms

All rooms have complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.  If you need extra please do not hesitate to ask.

The DVD TVs all have a FreeView facility.  All rooms have free  Internet access – the password is: cornerwaystim

Takeaway meals are allowed in the rooms.  If you need plates and cutlery please do not hesitate to ask.

Access to your room is available at all times as the front door is never locked.

Hair driers are provided in each room for your convenience if you forget to bring your own.

Extra blankets are available on request. The hot water and central heating are on 24 hours all year round.

An iron and ironing board are available for guests to borrow.  A trouser press is also available which sometimes comes in useful for weddings or more formal events.

Restaurant reservations can be arranged if you do not have a mobile phone. We have a list of recommended restaurants.

Fire exit information is on the back of each bedroom door.

If you need any help during your stay we can be contacted by ringing the service bell situated next to the table in the hall on the left hand side.

Thank you for taking the time to read this information.

Kind regards.
